Local Experience

Luke began his legal career in private practice in Conway, working on a variety of matters, including contracts, estate planning, and real estate.  After several years of working in state government and the non-profit sector, he returned to private practice in 2019.

He was appointed in 2017 by Governor Hutchinson to serve as the Prosecuting Attorney for the Twentieth Judicial District, which includes Faulkner, Van Buren and Searcy counties, until a successor was elected.  During that time, he was responsible for a total staff of 27 employees, including ten attorneys, numerous support staff, victim advocates, and a Drug Task Force.

Prior to that, he worked as General Counsel for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and Conway Development Corporation, handling a broad spectrum of legal issues pertaining to employment matters, contracts, and hosting the annual Toad Suck Daze festival.

Earlier in his career, he served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney under Cody Hiland, prosecuting felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases in the Twentieth Judicial District.

Arkansas native

Luke was born in Little Rock and raised in Faulkner County. After graduating from Greenbrier High School, he earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Central Arkansas with a double major in Spanish and History. In 2008, he graduated with honors from the UALR Bowen School of Law and passed the Arkansas bar exam immediately after graduation.

Luke resides in Faulkner County with his wife and their daughter.
